Just like most things on the Internet, social networks continue to fluxate and change, adapting at a pace so rapid it’d hard to keep up. Social media tends to reflect a lot of the changes we see in the digital world. One of these changes is the trend towards the aging population. The days where elderly were comically computing illiterate are fading quickly into the distance. They’re being replaces by a tech savvy demographic – who love social media!

“Let’s face it: As much as we complain about those over-sharers who inundate us with baby photos and vacation snapshots, we’re still in love with social networking,” said Debra Aho Williamson, eMarketer‘s principal analyst.
